Final Reading of ALONG THE RIVER ROAD, Monday, May 25

In May of 2014 we held the first reading of ALONG THE RIVER ROAD at the Provincetown Theater.  Since then, we've read at Harwich Junior Theater, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, and Woods Hole Theater.  The final read of the much revised play took place on Monday, May 25, 7:30 pm at the Provincetown Theater, 238 Bradford.  Thanks to all who attended.  As with other readings, the audience feedback is critical to the play's development.  It takes a village to put together a new play, and I want to give special thanks to the following:

The Playwrights’ Lab of the Provincetown Theater, my colleagues in the Four Squared Theater Collaborative, and the board and staff of the Provincetown Theater;
Sunie Pope, who served as the initial director for ALONG THE RIVER ROAD during her tenure with the Provincetown Theater; and to Brian Carlson, Dian Hamilton, Racine Oxtoby, and Elin Hersch who read in earlier versions of the play.

The journey of developing a new full length work has only been possible with the help of these people and the wonderful cast and director who have put in their time, talent and thoughts over this past year:  Actors Sallie Tighe, Fred Biddle, Kat Connelly, Don Collins, and June Douglas-White; Director Margaret Van Sant; and stage direction reader Michael Walczak.
I am forever grateful to you all.
